The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have formed a two-year alliance to help disseminate training resources to equipment owners and operators.

The new alliance will focus on preventing hazards associated with the use of rough-terrain lift trucks, including telehandlers and straight-mast types. Three components—training and education, outreach and communication and promotion—will help the alliance meet its goals.

Furthermore, “implementation teams,” made up of representatives from AEM, its members and OSHA, will develop strategies for meeting the alliance’s workplace safety goals.
