Bob Collins, principal consultant for SSI Worldwide, was elected 2003 president of the board of directors of APICS – The Educational Society for Resource Management. Collins and the 21-member board began serving their terms of office January 1, leading the 60,000-member international educational society headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia.
Collins served on the APICS board of directors for the past four years, is a long-time APICS volunteer, and is an experienced instructor of the APICS review courses for its certification programs, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM).
Others on the board include president-elect, Arnold E. Kennedy, Visionary Oasis; executive vice president, Wendy Kremers, Steelcase Inc.; secretary/treasurer, Thomas Krupka, Forward Technologies; past president, L. Drew Rosen, University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
