This new forked-type automated-guided vehicle (AGV) is designed to automatically load truck trailers. The vehicle, using standard dock equipment, efficiently delivers and loads pallets of goods into standard, over-the-road trailers. It is also designed to automatically correct for trailer misalignment. Automating the trailer-loading process significantly reduces labor costs, reduces plant and product damage, improves material tracking and accuracy of materials loaded, and reduces trailer wait time at the dock.
