Automated Packaging Systems Appoints New President

Automated Packaging Systems announces the promotion of Cliff Brehm to president and chief operating officer.

Brehm is responsible for day-to-day operations as well as the strategic direction of the company. Brehm had been chief operating officer, responsible for all domestic operations. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of sales and marketing. He reports to founders Hershey Lerner, chairman, and Bernie Lerner, CEO.

Brehm joined Automated Packaging Systems in 1976 as a sales rep in Los Angeles, then worked as regional sales manager in Atlanta, and corporate marketing manager at the company’s headquarters in Streetsboro, Ohio. In 1992, Brehm purchased his own sales representative and distributorship company in Atlanta with rights to sell Automated Packaging products in the southeastern United States. After 12 years, he sold those distribution rights to his territory and returned to Automated Packaging as executive vice president of sales and marketing in 2005.

Brehm attended Kent State University and Baldwin Wallace College as well as colleges in southern California and Georgia.
