The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) has released its brand-new career DVD, What in the World Is the Global Supply Chain? The production is intended to capture the attention of a young student audience and to encourage the choice of a career in supply chain management. The DVD illustrates the broad and diverse career options that exist in the profession today.

"The global supply chain has become a part of everyone's life, whether they know it or not," observed John Caltagirone, global practice leader, supply chain strategy at the Revere Group, who supervised the making of the film. "If a company buys material, and makes, moves, or stores a product, it is involved in supply chain management. Because of the critical importance of the supply chain on our economy—and on our daily lives—we wanted to educate people about what the supply chain is, as well as present students with exciting career options that they may not have previously considered."

What in the World Is the Global Supply Chain? costs $49.95 US for CSCMP members and nonmembers. Copies can be ordered at the CSCMP online bookstore at www.cscmp.org.
