(Greenville, N.C. – Americas Division Headquarters) — Hyster Company announces the release of the E30-40HSD lift truck series for retail, food and beverage, general warehousing and manufacturing applications. The 3,000- to 4,000-pound capacity lift trucks are engineered for low cost of operations, comfort and ease of use.

Several features work together to make the E30-40HSD series the most productive three-wheel, stand-up lift truck available. For example, the Hyster® ULTIMA II™ Multi-Function Control Handle allows simultaneous operation of travel, hoist and one other hydraulic function. A GEN II transistor traction control system and Separately Excited Motor (SEM) system contribute to the lift truck’s comfort and performance.

Downtime is kept to a minimum thanks to the Hyster brushless AC traction and steer motors that eliminate motor brushes, commutators and contactors. In addition, the standard dash display provides information on battery state of charge and truck hour meter as well as maintenance fault codes, allowing operators to continuously monitor lift truck processes.

Like all Hyster lift trucks, the E30-40HSD series is designed to provide a comfortable, easy-to-use work environment. A 7.5-inch rear step height provides easy entry and exit, while a half-inch lip around the floor keeps operators’ feet safely inside the compartment. The floor is suspended on polymer arches to absorb and reduce the vibration and shock transmitted to the operator by up to 25 percent.

The E30-40HSD series requires very little maintenance due to features such as tapered roller bearings that have been pre-packed and sealed to minimize dirt inclusion and maximize grease retention for long life. All traction motors have regenerative braking, providing 3 to 5 times the traction motor brush life relative to a truck equipped with the Auto Deceleration System. A combination of flexible wire-braid hoses and steel tubing simplifies hydraulic plumbing, and significantly fewer electrical wire connections improve system reliability.
