Echo Global Logistics CEO Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year

CHICAGO—Douglas Waggoner, CEO of Echo Global Logistics, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the “Emerging Companies” category in the Midwest region.

According to Ernst & Young, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Waggoner was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Hilton Chicago Hotel on June 26.

For 23 years, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards have honored entrepreneurs who demonstrate achievement in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

As a Midwest award winner, Waggoner is eligible to participate in the national awards program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, will be announced at the annual gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov. 14.
