The Kellogg Company (Battle Creek, Mich.), the world's leading producer of cereal and a leading producer of convenience foods, including cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, frozen waffles and meat alternatives, has named Exel’s (Westerville, Ohio) Dallas distribution center its Top Gun award for 2006. The award recognizes excellence in the daily execution of Kellogg's business.

The award is presented each year to the operation that accumulates the most points on a scorecard of Kellogg's critical customer service and performance measures. It was created to recognize excellence in service, cost, quality and innovation; promote goal congruence with Kellogg; and, facilitate greater dialogue among Kellogg, its distribution centers and providers on key issues. Exel received the award in the full-service warehouse category.

Exel operates three distribution centers for Kellogg in the United States. The 420,000-sq.-ft. Dallas site led all full-service distribution centers in order accuracy and recorded 100% on time loading for the year. The facility has 105 associates.
