May Conveyor Orders Up 24.3% over May 2011

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its May 2012 booked orders increased 24.3% when compared to May 2011 orders.

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its May 2012 booked orders increased 24.3% when compared to May 2011 orders. May 2012 booked orders when compared to April 2012 booked orders were down 5.9%.

May booked orders were up 6.0% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 14.0% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to April.

CEMA’s May 2012 billed sales (shipments) increased by 23.6% when compared to May 2011 sales. May 2012 billed sales when compared to April 2012 billed sales were up 3.9%.

May Billed Sales were up 4.5% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 4.9% for unit handling equipment when compared to April.
