    New PackExpo Web Site Allows Virtual Show Planning

    ARLINGTON, Va.—The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) introduces a redesigned and enhanced Web site dedicated to its PackExpo International trade show.

    The new site, at www.packexpo.com, allows visitors to plan their trip to this year’s PackExpo taking place Oct. 5-7 in Las Vegas. The launch coincides with the opening of online registration for the event.

    Through the Web site, industry professionals can schedule meetings, create personalized event maps and learn about educational sessions.

    Exhibitors will have online booths that include product pages, press releases and information about programs available during PackExpo. Through the My PackExpo feature, visitors can locate specific suppliers and products, schedule appointments with exhibitors, register for conference educational sessions and connect with industry peers.

    A new technology called ChirpE allows attendees to plan their trip from their PDAs. The downloadable application will be available in late September.
