Office Depot and Boscov’s Execs Lead NRF Supply Chain Council

Dennis Cohen, senior director of direct import/own brand supply chain for Office Depot, will become the new chairman and Larry Bergman, senior vice president, director of supply chain and operations for Boscov’s Department Stores LLC will serve as vice-chairman of the National Retail Federation’s Strategic Supply Chain Council.

Dennis Cohen, senior director of direct import/own brand supply chain for Office Depot, will become the new chairman and Larry Bergman, senior vice president, director of supply chain and operations for Boscov’s Department Stores LLC will serve as vice-chairman of the National Retail Federation’s Strategic Supply Chain Council. Cohen succeeds Kohl’s Department Stores’ Ken Bonning as chairman.

NRF Vice President of Supply Chain and Customs Policy Jonathan Gold said: “We thank Ken for his past leadership, and look forward to Dennis and Larry leading the council so we can effectively address some of the key issues facing the retail supply chain, including proposed changes to truck drivers Hours-of-Service, a multi-year highway reauthorization bill, customs reauthorization and other issues impacting all modes of transportation.”

The NRF Strategic Supply Chain Council provides guidance and technical expertise on issues affecting retailers’ management and security of their international supply chains, with a focus on public policy, supply chain management and best practices. Members include senior retail executives responsible for global supply chain, transportation and logistics management.
