Lightweight 44 x 56 pallet optimizes shipments

OCONOMOWOC, Wis., -- ORBIS Corporation, a subsidiary of Menasha Corporation, offers the 44 x 56 Optimal Container Pallet (OCP), a 44.0” x 56.0” plastic pallet designed specifically to optimize pallet loads of rigid PET and metal containers used to package food, beverage, industrial, household chemical and health and beauty care products. Its weight and load capacity offers greater trailer cube efficiency, so more product can be shipped in fewer trips.

Manufactured in high-density polyethylene plastic, this stackable pallet offers a static load capacity of 30,000 pounds. It is available in FDA approved material and features a flow-through deck for easy cleaning. With a smooth, non-porous surface, the 44 x 56 OCP does not harbor pests or mildew. Its dimensional consistency ensures precise, repeatable performance with conveyors and automated systems.

According to Marc Brandt, ORBIS Product Manager, “This pallet was designed specifically to optimally convey plastic bottles and metal cans for all types of products. Its unique design results in a lightweight pallet that takes weight out of trailer load shipments.” This pallet is manufactured using recyclable materials. Brandt continues, “Nearly 100% of the content is recoverable and available for use in new pallets.”

The 44 x 56 OCP offers contoured corners and smooth edges for easy handling; 4-way forklift or handjack entry and optional 9-leg design for nestability. The 44 x 56 OCP can be combined with solid or corrugated divider sheets and plastic top frames to create fully unitized loads for efficient shipping and storage. Pallet options include hot-stamped logos, molded-in logos, and grommets.
