Classroom Day

MHIA and the College-Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE), in collaboration with the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA), have organized the sixth annual Material Handling and Logistics Classroom Day to be held on Monday, Jan. 12.

More than 100 students and faculty from local and regional schools and universities are expected to attend Classroom Day to learn about manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, logistics and IT solutions for the supply chain.

Classroom Day is designed to increase the recognition and appreciation of material handling and logistics among faculty and their students, who represent future users and producers of the industry's products and services. In addition, the event offers an opportunity for professionals and students to connect for future employment possibilities.

Classroom Day will begin with an overview of the industry and the ProMat exhibition. Following the presentation, faculty and students will be provided with a variety of industry and show information, including a guided tour of the exhibition, which will consist of 10 selected exhibitors representing a well rounded view of material handling and logistics.
