SAMSys Technologies Works with LXE to Give the Supply Chain a Lift

TORONTO, ON -- SAMSys Technologies Inc. (SMY:TSX-VEN) ("SAMSys"), an international provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) hardware solutions and consulting services, today announced that it will be demonstrating its RFID readers in use with LXE rugged forklift mounted computers.

LXE's VX4 Vehicle Mount Computer, used in conjunction with SAMSys' MP9320 UHF forklift mounted RFID reader, provides a complete RFID and mobile data collection solution. This combined solution gives customers the flexibility to track goods as they are moved within the depot, and can provide real-time visibility of inventory in transit. And, with the ability to read data in real time and transfer this information to a data collection application, the management of goods is streamlined and the supply chain is enhanced.

"SAMSys' multi-protocol reader easily integrates into our mobile solution and offers our customers real time data collection solution that increases productivity and accuracy in their supply chain," says Jim Childress, President and General Manager of LXE. "Through this alliance we are able to demonstrate a flexible, robust RFID technology solution that streamlines and automates the entire supply chain - from manufacturing through distribution to the retail floor."

SAMSys' comprehensive line of RFID readers spans low frequency, high frequency and UHF, support a broad range of protocols and standards, and enables implementation without the fear of near term obsolescence. For almost 10 years SAMSys has played an active role in RFID industry and has consistently advocated an RFID adoption strategy based upon the optimization of functionality, multi-protocol reader architectures, and ease of reader interrogation. SAMSys also provides consulting services that focus on the front-end of the RFID implementation process.

"This partnership is yet another example of how RFID technology is being recognized by supply chain managers as a strategic implementation and will soon be accepted as a standard," says Cliff Horwitz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SAMSys. "The combination of our MP9320 reader and LXE's VX4 rugged vehicle mount terminal brings together two critical pieces of technology that will change the way goods are tracked and data is collected."

SAMSys offers a selection of reader solutions including standard frequency-specific modules, custom-made application specific reader systems, and OEM modules to provide tailored solutions for a wide variety of supply chain management, logistics management, and tracking and fulfillment applications. In addition to providing reader solutions, SAMSys offers consulting services that focus on the front-end of the RFID implementation process.
