E.J. Pope & Son, Inc.'s Handy Mart stores will use RedPrairie Corp.'s (Milwaukee) BlueCube Enterprise Software for mid-sized convenience store retailers. Handy Mart will implement the supply chain management, financial management, learning management, time and attendance, and scheduling software in all 43 locations. The software will help Handy Mart improve labor cost, inventory management and customer service.

The software will provide Handy Mart with the necessary information to identify trends, analyze customer buying behavior, optimize inventory levels and react quickly to changes at the sites. The implementation will enable store, field, and corporate managers to manage by exception. They will rely on BlueCube Enterprise alerts to notify them that operational challenges exist and need to be resolved. The scheduling solution will enable Handy Mart to efficiently schedule labor to improve service while reducing cost.

“We were to the point that we needed a cost effective way to improve the efficiency of our supply chain,” said Judson Pope, E.J. Pope & Son, Inc.’s president. “RedPrairie’s subscription model allows us to implement back office technology affordably by reducing our up front costs. We are certain that this effort will allow us to improve our customer service and result in increased profitability.”
