Suction Pads Handle Heavy Metal

Schmalz USA developed the SAXM series of suction pads with the geometry necessary for the dynamic handling of metal sheets. They enable minimal pick-up times, high intrinsic stability while suction is applied and the absorption of extreme holding and lateral forces, especially on oily surfaces. The structure of the suction pad interior and the additional friction disc allow SAXM to absorb several times the lateral forces as standard metal suction pads. This reduces the number of suction pads needed and thus the tooling expenses while maintaining the speed of the equipment. The pads adjust well to the three-dimensional contour of workpieces.
