In January of 2008, Sky-Trax installed its first 10 vehicle Total-Trax pilot in a 320K square foot facility as a replacement of a previous RFID system. Used to track both vehicles and inventory in bulk and rack storage areas, Total-Trax produced immediate results with a 100% increase in productivity and 100% accuracy for 20,000+ pallet moves. Post pilot financial predictions concluded a dramatic reduction in labor costs, a reduction in fleet size by 10% and a complete elimination of RFID tag costs.
