A second printing of the 6th edition of “Belt Conveyors for Bulk Materials” is now available in both CD and print format from the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (Naples, Fla.). The updated second printing incorporates new application photos and other clarifications based on user input.
The second printing expands and improves elements addressed in the initial printing, with improved accuracy for the formula used to calculate power requirements. The 6th edition also includes limitless length/width combinations of bulk conveyor belt design parameters for developing proper tension balances on segmented conveyors of significant length. All charts and equations are now formatted in a manner conducive to computer programming, speeding engineering calculation and analysis.
