VICS to Present Achievement Awards in Dallas

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.—The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions (VICS) Association has announced the finalists for the VICS Collaborative Commerce Achievement Awards.

The awards, which identify and reward excellence in supply chain collaboration, are presented to the winners each year as part of the VICS Annual Conference.

This year, VICS has joined with GS1 US to co-produce and present the U Connect Conference, to be held June 9-12 in Dallas at the Gaylord Texan Resort. The 11th annual awards, sponsored by Hewlett-Packard Corp., will be announced at the VICS board of directors’ dinner on June 11.

The finalists include: Dillard’s Store Services Inc., Lowe’s Companies Inc. and Wegmans Food Markets for retail excellence; Cadbury Adams and Procter & Gamble for supply side excellence; Avery Dennison/Office Max and Best Buy for CPFR implementation; Dillard’s Store Services, GS1 Canada Item Centre and GS1 Canada RX2 for supply chain excellence; afterBOT Inc., Schneider Logistics Inc. and United Parcel Service Inc. for best third-party service provider; and Fine Collection Corp., JDA Software Group and RSA: the Security Division of EMC for best third-party technology provider.

The VICS board of directors will also be announcing the 2008 winner of the Roger Milliken Career Achievement Award, which is presented to an individual who has demonstrated leadership through selfless support and utilization of GS1 and VICS Standards as well as standards committee participation. The 2007 Roger Milliken award was presented to Randy Mott, CIO of Hewlett Packard Corp.
