Accenture received the highest customer satisfaction rating for supply chain management services in a recent report published by Forrester, an independent research firm. The report, "Ranking SCM Tools and Services: Users Rank ERP Vendors and Accenture Highest in Customer Satisfaction," is based on a Forrester survey of 167 North American supply-chain management decision-makers.

The objective of the survey was to assess respondents’ current satisfaction with supply chain software and services and their plans for additional investments. Forrester found that 41% of respondents said they rely on their ERP vendors for supply chain solutions, compared with 43% who rely on their best-of-breed vendors. Customers were generally satisfied with Oracle and SAP for their supply-chain applications. Companies also expressed a continued reliance on custom-built applications to meet unique supply chain challenges. More than half of firms report that they use web portals to enable supply chain visibility and collaboration.

The survey found that 84% of Accenture’s current clients would recommend the firm to other companies. No more than 72% of any other service provider’s clients said they would recommend their provider to other companies.

Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. With more than 133,000 people in 48 countries, the company generated net revenues of US$15.6 billion for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 2005.
