The equipment is being used by Alaska Air, American Air, Delta and United Airlines at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International, Dallas-Fort Work International and Miami International airports. “Testing further enhances our security regime at these crucial shipping hubs and takes us one step closer to our goal of screening 100% of higher risk goods,” says Read Admiral David M. Stone (Retired), Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security at TSA.

To now, the screening equipment has been used for checked passenger baggage. This evaluation extends the process to air break-bulk facilities.

Extension of the two-month Operational Test & Evaluation will add Ted Steven Anchorage International, Los Angeles International and Chicago O’Hare International airports to the mix.
