The equipment is being used by Alaska Air, American Air, Delta and United Airlines at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International, Dallas-Fort Work International and Miami International airports. “Testing further enhances our security regime at these crucial shipping hubs and takes us one step closer to our goal of screening 100% of higher risk goods,” says Read Admiral David M. To now, the screening equipment has been used for checked passenger baggage. This evaluation extends the process to air break-bulk facilities.
Extension of the two-month Operational Test & Evaluation will add Ted Steven Anchorage International, Los Angeles International and Chicago O’Hare International airports to the mix.
