Through expanded services with INTTRA, the port of Valencia's single portal now supports INTTRA-Link bookings, along with a range of other electronic services. TIBA International, a major freight forwarder, was the first to initiate an INTTRA-Link booking connection on www.valenciaportpcs.net. In addition to sending shipping instructions, TIBA also receives track and trace events via the link.
The Port Authority of Valencia, which operates as Valenciaport, runs three state-owned ports (Gandia, Valencia, and Sagunto), making it a leading port on the Mediterranean in terms of commercial traffic. The Port Authority has seen annual growth of 14% over the last 10 years. In 2007, the ports handled over 3 million twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEUs) of containerized traffic and 53 million tons of freight.
