Cat Lift Trucks has introduced its new 15,500 lb. capacity diesel pneumatic tire lift truck. Equipped with a Perkins 854F Tier 4 Final diesel engine, the heavy-duty Cat DP70N1 model is designed to work in a variety of heavy-duty applications, such as lumber, pipe, concrete and steel. It features diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and selective catalytic reduction (SRC) aftertreament technology that will not require any additional maintenance after installation for the lifetime of the lift truck.
The DP70N1 is equipped with a Tier 4 Final Perkins 854F 3.4L turbo-charged four-cylinder engine, which provides an 18% increase in fuel efficiency over the previous generation. Users can benefit from an even greater cost savings when utilizing the lift truck’s fuel saver mode, which lowers fuel consumption by up to 14% while maintaining up to 95% of overall productivity.
The new Perkins engine utilizes a compact DOC and SRC aftertreament technology that meets or exceeds U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final standards. This technology is designed to be maintenance free for the life of the engine.
The DP70N1 is equipped with an engine protection system to keep the forklift running at peak performance. The system notifies operators of critical factors, including when vital fluids are low or engine maintenance is required. The system also automatically lowers maximum RPMs and slows travel and hydraulic speeds when the truck is not performing at acceptable levels, effectively reducing the potential for damage or costly repairs.
The DP70N1 is designed with standard features to help maximize operator comfort, such as cowl-mounted three-way hydraulic control valves, a full-suspension seat, elevated exhaust and rubber mounted components for noise and vibration reduction. Users can further customize the lift truck to their application with a range of options, including a climate-controlled operator cabin or armrest-integrated fingertip controls.
