February Conveyor Orders Up 12.5% over January

Although orders are down from a year ago, shipments increased by 6.9%.

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its February 2013 Booked Orders decreased 2.9% when compared to February 2012 orders. February 2013 booked orders when compared to January 2013 booked orders were up 12.5%.

FebruaryBooked Orders were unchanged for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 23.7% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to January.

CEMA’s February 2013 Billed Sales (shipments) increased by 6.9% when compared to February 2012 sales. February 2013 billed sales when compared to January 2013 billed sales were up 4.6%.

FebruaryBilled Sales were up 3.7% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 5.8% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to January.
