Inovis has introduced IndustryLink for RosettaNet, a purpose-built solution that provides electronics manufacturers and suppliers with the ability to reduce the cost and complexity of compliance with RosettaNet, the consortium that sets the standards for aligning e-business processes within the electronics industry.

IndustryLink for RosettaNet is the first offering in Inovis’ new line of IndustryLink solutions providing for the specific electronic trading requirements germane to individual vertical markets. It is certified compliant by RosettaNet, through the organization’s RosettaNet Ready certification program. Future IndustryLink solutions will deliver prepackaged business commerce automation solutions to accommodate the needs of the retail/consumer products, automotive and petrochemical industries.

The IndustryLink for RosettaNet solution allows companies to adopt RosettaNet by pre-configuring and automating many of the steps involved with a RosettaNet implementation. The main features of the solution include:

  • A completely self-contained application -– no additional software to purchase.
  • Multiple wizards to guide a user through deployment.
  • Built-in translation engine capable of handling XML as well as other file formats.
  • Instant compliance guaranteed by RosettaNet Ready Badge.
  • Complete control of trading partner agreements allowing for customization of communication, data and process definition on a per partner basis.

Inovis’ business process management engine, which the company inherited from its Extricity heritage, powers the process orchestration component of IndustryLink for RosettaNet. This engine can be leveraged by organizations to build additional workflows and drive supply chain efficiencies through the solution’s support for flexible business processes.

IndustryLink for RosettaNet supports multiple Partner Interface Processes (PIPs), which outline how business processes must be accommodated and completed as defined by standards in the industry. Business processes supported include critical supply chain functions like order management, inventory management, product information and product lifecycle management. Each validated and certified PIP is available as a package or an add-on module to the solution.
