AC Motors Offer More Efficiency and Torque [New Products]

AutomationDirect expanded its Marathon AC motor line to include lower-cost, high-performance 0.5 to 5 HP Marathon Max+ series AC motors with integrated encoder. The 230/460 VAC Max+ inverter-duty motors are designed to replace 90 and 180 volt Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) systems. The Max+ motor is more efficient and produces more torque per amp. Max+ series 1000:1 constant torque (TENV) motors can replace multi-speed motors, single-phase motors, and be used as a variable speed upgrade for standard fixed speed motor systems. Typical applications include: machine tools, conveyors, packaging machines, batching machines, printing equipment, pumps and fans. Max+ series motors are UL Recognized, CSA Certified, CE Marked and have a three year warranty.
