Barr-Nunn Transportation, Inc. is celebrating its 27th anniversary as a truckload carrier

Barr-Nunn has grown to a fleet of 500 trucks and 1,600 trailers since it was founded in 1982. Started by Bob Sturgeon as Sturgeon Truck Lines with 10 trucks, the company later bought Barr-Nunn and merged the two operations.

“The daily focus, dedication and hard work of each and every member of our team, whether on the road or in the office or shop, is the reason Barr-Nunn is able to celebrate 27 successful years.” stated Rene Beacom, president of Barr-Nunn. “We are proud of our past accomplishments and because of this same great team of people, are looking forward to the challenging and exciting opportunities which lie ahead,"

Barr-Nunn is also committed to protecting the environment with a continued focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and has received the highest rating from the Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Program.

The carrier has terminals in Charlotte, NC; Manchester, PA and headquarters in Granger, IA. It serves the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast regions of the country.
