After testing a model for integrating its contract logistics and freight management units, Ceva will roll out the structure to all regions.
Following the acquisition of Eagle Global Logistics (EGL) in August 2007, Ceva operated its contract logistics and the acquired freight forwarding operations of EGL as separate divisions. The exception was in the Asia Pacific region where it developed and piloted a model for integrating the two units at the country level. After nine months, John Pattullo, CEO, said the test delivered “outstanding results.”
In announcing the model would be adopted globally, Pattullo also announced four senior-level appointments: Joe Bento, president, Americas, and global freight management network; Vittorio Favati, president, Asia Pacific; Bruno Sidler, president, northern Europe; Gianfranco Sgro, president, southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
