Dick DiStasio Replaces Bob Moore as CEO of iGPS

Sept. 27, 2011
Long-time logistics and distribution veteran DiStasio takes over plastic pallet rental service company.

Intelligent Global Pooling Systems, operator of a pallet rental service that provides lightweight, 100% recyclable plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, has named Richard “Dick” DiStasio CEO of the company. DiStasio brings over 30 years of executive-level experience at manufacturing, distribution and service companies, with both domestic and international scope.

Among his prior positions, DiStasio served as president, CEO and chairman of USF Corp., formerly known as USFreightways Corp., and CEO for Global Operations of Martin-Brower Company, a distributor of products to McDonald’s Corp. Prior to joining iGPS, DiStasio served as an operating advisor to Arbor Investments, a Chicago-based private equity firm.

iGPS did not refer to DiStasio’s predecessor in the announcement, the often-controversial Bob Moore. According to the website PackagingRevolution.net, Moore recently filed a wrongful termination suit against the company and Pegasus Group, the company’s majority shareholder, alleging age discrimination.
