A total of 336,518 loaded TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) were exported from the Port of Savannah from July 2003 through January 2004, an increase of 32,500 TEUs, according to the Georgia Ports Authority (www.gaports.com).

January results also showed a total of 51,896 loaded TEUs were exported, a 10.7 increase over January 2003. Total import and export volumes for the seven months were 898,590 TEUs, a 1.2% increase.
