Members will be able to search for available warehouse space by location or specific attributes, says the operator of GLWarehouses.com. “The key goal of GLWarehouses.com is to significantly reduce the time spent by shippers, brokers, and carriers in finding warehouse space that meets their needs and to help warehouse owners quickly fill their unoccupied warehouse space,” says the company.
“We realized many of our members have warehouse operations, but there were few, if any, services available to support this side of their business,” said Bryan Jones, president of Getloaded.com.
The International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) operates a search tool called the Logistics Services Locator (LSL) which it redesigned and relaunched a year ago. “The state-of-the-art mechanism allows shippers to search IWLA member warehouse logistics providers by zip/postal code, company and keyword(s),” says IWLA. After finding an IWLA-member facility, users can send a request for information (RFI) to the main contact at each member location. Listings include location, services, a company profile and a link to the company’s Web site. Since its relaunch, the LSL has seen an average 10X increase in searches, requests and RFIs to members.

The LSL is made up of active IWLA members in good standing who meet and maintain association standards of conduct and business practice. The LSL is available at www.logisticsservicelocator.com.
