Jacobson Companies, a third-party logistics provider (3PL), has acquired the assets of Bekins Transportation Co. and Bekins Distribution Center Co. ( collectively known as Bekins Logistics). The new subsidiary will be known as Jacobson Distribution.

Bekins Logistics is a provider of supply chain services and 3PL services, which include distribution/fulfillment services, warehousing and warehousebased value added services, and dedicated transportation. The company currently has 350 employees and operates out of nine locations, and similar to Jacobson, its warehouse business is a combination of four dedicated, single customer contract facilities and five multi-customer warehouses.
