Transport America, a truckload carrier, has successfully implemented Pegasus TransTech's TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning solution.
"We were determined to reduce our billing cycle time, create additional back office efficiencies and give our drivers the ability to get their paperwork into us directly, as opposed to relying on a third party," explains Keith Klein, chief financial officer and chief information officer for Transport America. "We already had a high degree of confidence in Pegasus TransTech, since their imaging and workflow product has helped us take about three days out of our billing cycle time and significantly reduce our borrowing requirements.
Klein says that Transport America's drivers are pleased with the shift to Pegasus' truck stop scanning service. "We're getting positive feedback from our drivers now that they're familiar with Pegasus' scanning service. This service is a lot more convenient for drivers. They appreciate having control over the system. They scan at a time that makes sense for them, without having to worry about whether their documents were received. They also like the fact they can just keep the originals, instead of having to make photocopies for their own records."
