Third-party logistics provider Triplefin, a provider of outsourced order-to-cash business process solutions to companies in the pharmaceutical and consumer products industries, has implemented a supply chain solution to optimize distribution processes in two new distribution centers (DCs) in Cincinnati, OH.

Triplefin is using the Manhattan SCALE (Supply Chain Architected for Logistics Execution) portfolio of solutions from Manhattan Associates, which has enabled the 3PL to migrate nearly 40 clients to its new DCs on budget and without any service interruptions. Triplefin began by moving two clients per month to simultaneously accommodate the new Manhattan SCALE solutions while the company's old system was being phased out.

"We were able to move our clients to the new system quickly and efficiently," says Jim Rhyne, director of distribution for Triplefin, who adds that it was "pretty amazing considering each client had their own set of operations and interfaces."

Triplefin has already seen significant increases in productivity and has reduced labor expenses by improving overall system availability in the DCs. In addition, the company has reduced overtime shifts and maintenance issues while completely automating the shipping department, allocating labor to other areas in the DCs.

Manhattan SCALE is a portfolio of distribution management and transportation management solutions built on Microsoft.NET technology that leverages optimization techniques to improve the flow of goods throughout supply chains.
