WARRENDALE, Pa.—AIM Global has announced the election of Clive Hohberger, vice president of technology development for Zebra Technologies Corp. as the association’s new chairman of the board of directors.

Dr. Hohberger succeeds Jim Childress of LXE Inc.

Hohberger is a charter member of the AIDC 100 industry honorary society and winner of the 1999 AIM Global Richard E. Dilling award for lifetime contribution to the industry.

According to AIM Global, Hohberger and the board of directors will advocate on behalf of members on policy matters and standards affecting the automatic identification and mobility industry; provide timely, unbiased and commercial-free news and information to its members, the news media, policy makers and current and potential customers of automatic identification and mobility technologies; and accelerate the adoption and use of data capture and mobility technology.

"As chairman, my goal is to expand AIM Global beyond its membership-driven model by being more relevant in the lives of our members and the industry," says Hohberger. "I will continue working to grow AIM Global's reputation as a technology thought leader and the 'go to' organization in the industry."

"Clive Hohberger brings a tremendous range of industry and standards leadership experience to the chairman’s role, and I am excited to work with him as the association evolves to meet the needs of AIM Global and chapter members around the world," adds AIM Global president Dan Mullen.
