Wildeck VRC

Jan. 14, 2010
Wildeck Inc. introduces its V-Lift, a hydraulically operated, cantilever material lift. The vertical reciprocating conveyor (VRC) can be installed free-standing with optional structural framing or placed in a shaftway.

The V-Lift meets ANSI/ASME B20.1, “Safety Standard for Conveyors.” It features guide columns constructed of 6-inch, wide-flange structural steel and a hydraulic ram with 2 ½-inch-diameter dual pistons. The single-cylinder hydraulic system prevents twisting during operation and eliminates all moving hoses, cables, and chains, according to Wildeck.

The standard V-Lift carriage dimension is 6 x 6 foot with a lifting capacity of 3,000 pounds. Material can be loaded or unloaded in a “C,” “Z,” or 90-degree pattern. Some models can service heights of 14 feet. Safety interlocks prevent the VRC from moving unless the gates are closed. The gates open only when the carriage is at a designated level. Additional safety features include mechanical stops, redundant overload protection that prevents the carriage from lifting if loaded to more than 120% of its rated capacity and velocity fuses that control VRC descent.
