Business-to-Employee goes Chain-Wide

RedPrairie Corporation’s acquisition of Vortex Connect, a provider of mobile workforce management products for business-to-employee (B2E) communications, combines the RedPrairie Enterprise Workforce Management (EWFM) system with the Vortex mobility platform to enable workforce management across operational disciplines including stores, warehouses and distribution centers. The EWFM will now offer employee self-service, mobile shift management and bidding and mobile communications and operations. RedPrairie will also establish a Mobility Center of Excellence in Toronto to focus on applying mobility throughout its product line as well as through the extended supply chain.
