The Irving, Texas Chamber of Commerce reported that Seattle-based Amazon.com will locate a new distribution center near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The new center is expected to open by September and will handle larger items from the company’s online home and garden, electronics and kitchen stores. To secure the deal the local city council approved an agreement that provides tax rebates to the company for six years with options to extend the agreement for up to 10 years.
