Motion Industries (Birmingham, Ala.), a distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operation replacement parts, was presented with a "People Make Quality Happen" award by General Motors Spring Hill Manufacturing facility.
The award is in recognition of Motion Industries' participation in cost-cutting efforts for the fiscal year 2004. As part of a select group of GM's Spring Hill Indirect Material vendors, the Motion Industries branch in Columbia, Tennessee was treated to a luncheon provided by GM's Indirect Material Purchasing Team.
"We are honored to receive this award from General Motors," said Bill Stevens, Motion Industries president and CEO. "It is especially gratifying as Motion Industries serves to set the benchmark for quality."
