PRINCETON, N.J.—The Boyd Co. Inc., a location consulting firm, has released a new report that compares the cost of operating a typical distribution warehouse facility in 78 of the country’s most logistics-friendly metropolitan areas.
The 2008 study, “A Comparative Cost Analysis for Distribution Warehousing,” is a 108-page report that presents total annual operating cost comparisons under two assumptions: construction of new warehousing space and leasing of existing warehousing space.
The analysis can be used for benchmarking, cost auditing, location planning or securing competitive industry intelligence, according to the Boyd Co.
The report can be purchased and downloaded from www.bizcosts.com.
