MISSISSAUGA, Ontario—Hydrogenics Corp. announced it will cut 50 jobs, equivalent to 20% of its workforce, according to Canada’s The Globe and Mail.
It’s the second round of cuts for the fuel-cell manufacturer. The first, announced earlier this month, also resulted in the loss of 50 workers and was related to the closing of a Hydrogenics unit that made test equipment for other hydrogen firms.
Hydrogenics will redirect its focus in Mississauga to produce back-up power and fuel cells for lift trucks and other vehicles, the Canadian news source reported.
