Webb Friction Conveyor

May 27, 2010
Jervis B. Webb Co., a subsidiary of Daifuku Co., introduces its new friction-drive conveyor system, an alternative to overhead and inverted power-and-free conveyors.

The new friction conveyor uses drive-wheel technology, instead of chains, to move loads and also features standard I-beam to ease installation and maintenance, according to the company.

Webb’s friction conveyor can travel 240 feet per minute. The heavy-duty version can move loads weighing 2,500 pounds, while a light-duty model can move 250-pound loads. Variable frequency drives are available. The conveyor can integrate with power-and-free and chain conveyors.
