The move underscores the importance of this technology for functions like traceability, especially in the food chain, which Voxware CEO Scott Yetter says is becoming an increasingly important issue for customers like Performance Food Group.
“Our company has a long track record in delivering fresh products, and food safety is very important to us,” said Jeff Williamson, senior vice president at Performance Food Group. “Voxware hosted a produce traceability roundtable earlier in the year, where we talked about effective ways to integrate the scanning of GS1 barcodes into the voice picking process.”
