WARRENDALE, Pa.—AIM Global has elected Patrick J. Byrne, president and CEO of Intermec, to its board of directors.
Byrne joined Intermec in July 2007 after 24 years in research, engineering, marketing and general management at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies Inc. Most recently, Byrne was senior vice president of Agilent and president of its electronic measurement group. Previously, he was vice president and general manager of Agilent’s wireless business unit.
Byrne earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He’s currently on the board of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University.
AIM Global is a nonprofit trade organization that works to expand the understanding, adoption and use of data collection technology. Each board member is elected for a two-year term.
Current board members also include executives from ACURA Technologies, ADC Technologies, Avery Dennison, Datalogic Scanning, FEIG Electronic, Honeywell Imaging and Mobility, Lowry Computer Products, Motorola, Sirit, TAGSYS, Texas Instruments, and Zebra Technologies.
