Attendees at the 2010 International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) conference received a sneak peek of Crown Equipment’s RM 6000 reach truck, the Crown QuickPick Remote Advance System and the next generation of the Crown InfoLink® 3.0 fleet management system.

The Crown RM 6000 is a monolift reach truck reaching 505 inches and lifting loads up to 1,000 pounds heavier than any conventional reach truck. This will enable users to optimize warehouse space by filling vacant shelves at the top of their racks.

The Crown QuickPick Remote Advance System is a wireless glove that allows operators to remotely control a lift truck. In high-volume picking applications the operator can advance the lift truck to the next pick slot using controls integrated into the glove while remaining in the optimum position for picking. The system will be first available with the Crown PC 4500 Series of rider pallet trucks.

The new version of the InfoLink lift truck fleet management system will give managers and operators heightened access to actionable information from the lift truck as well as enhanced dashboard functionality for at-a-glance fleet and individual truck performance.
