FORT WORTH, Texas-The choice of the Alliance Global Logistics Hub as the site of its newest electronics assembly and distribution center was a strategic one.
Q-Edge is leasing 365,440 square feet in the Alliance Gateway 2 building.
“We appreciate all that Fort Worth has to offer and look forward to being in this community a long time,” says Q-Edge spokesperson, Wen Ren. “We believe that many competitive traits of Fort Worth, namely its central location within the U.S., advanced transportation infrastructure, low cost of living and doing business, and ready access to a highly educated and skilled workforce, will help us achieve significant competitive advantages and lead to long-term success for our company.”
It took a team effort to help bring the company to the Alliance Global Logistics Hub. Involved, in addition to Q-Edge, there was assistance from the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s economic development division, the City of Fort Worth, the office of Texas Governor Rick Perry and Hillwood, the Perrot company owner of the Hub.
The Alliance Hub is located in Tarrant County. Tarrant County College and Workforce Solutions, in cooperation with the State of Texas, are working to secure federal funding to provide skills development training for Q-Edge. In addition, Workforce Solutions will host a job fair to help recruit highly skilled computer assembly and distribution professionals for Q-Edge.
