    TOKYO—Komatsu Ltd. announced it will build a $61 million plant in Russia, about 186 miles northeast of Moscow.

    Production is slated to begin in June 2010, and Komatsu said that, by the following year, the plant will produce 3,000 hydraulic excavators and 7,000 lift trucks. It will be the company’s first lift truck plant in Russia.
