The audit, which can be used for the company’s UniSort product line, reveals cost-efficient ways to optimize system capacity and throughput, improve equipment utilization and extend system life.
A certified FKI Logistex audit engineer inspects the equipment and reviews operational and maintenance procedures. The resulting audit report contains equipment drawings, performance checklists and digital photographs for technical reference.
The engineer also recommends maintenance, upgrades or modifications and spare parts to keep on hand. Schedules for future audits and preventive maintenance are also included.
“Boosting the performance and uptime of existing sortation equipment and systems allows companies to meet increasing operational requirements without investing in new equipment,” says Chris Roach, vice president of customer service and support at FKI Logistex North America. “The audit pinpoints where improvements can be made and identifies cost-effective ways to maximize system capacity and to prolong equipment life.”
