CargoSmart, a provider of online shipment management services for the ocean container transportation industry, has released three new products: CargoSmart Desktop, Booking Worksheet and Cargo Tracking Text Messages. The new products let customers manage their shipment information on platforms that extend beyond a web browser.
CargoSmart Desktop is a customizable software application that is based on Microsoft's .NET framework. It includes Sailing Schedule, Vessel Tracking, Cargo Tracking and North America Rail Tracing and is available in Japanese as well as English and Chinese.
Booking Worksheet is a booking form that lets customers work offline to prepare their bookings and then submit them online when they are ready. It helps customers who have a slow or frequently disconnected Internet connection. Booking Worksheet shares an address book with CargoSmart's existing Shipping Instructions Worksheet.
Cargo Tracking Text Messages lets customers track containers with Short Message Standard (SMS) text messaging from mobile phones. CargoSmart currently provides text messaging for customers in China. It will soon be available in other regions.
