Milwaukee, WI -- Catalyst International Inc. (NASDAQ: CLYS), a global provider of supply chain execution (SCE) solutions, today announced that Kunzler & Co., Inc. has selected Catalyst to manage its distribution centers.

Kunzler, a processor of smoked meats servicing local, regional, and national accounts in both foodservice and retail venues, purchased CatalystCommand – including software, hardware and services – to help the company improve its inventory control and its overall distribution process efficiency. The company plans to implement the software in April 2003 at its primary distribution center in Lancaster, PA as well at its production/distribution facilities in Tyrone, PA.

Kunzler distributes quality meats directly to retailers – from corner delis to giant wholesale buying clubs. In addition to better inventory control, the Catalyst system will give Kunzler the ability to load outbound trucks in reverse route-stop format, ensuring more efficient and more accurate deliveries. The Catalyst system will be installed at the primary Lancaster site and then will be rolled out to two other sites in Tyrone, PA, which will be managed remotely from the Lancaster site.

"We are looking to create a new infrastructure for our distribution processes to gain true warehouse control. Our industry demands robust technology in the areas of lot tracking, product rotation, and quality assurance; Catalyst showed us the highest level of functionality in all of these areas. We chose Catalyst because we were very impressed with both the technology and the people at the company. Kunzler is a quality-minded company and we are diligent in choosing partners that share that quality philosophy,” said Ron Fink, Operations Manager.
